The most valuable invention during my lifetime would have to be the invention of the text message. Text messages are a very easy and sufficient way to contact one another without having to actually speak. The way people live and work today revolve completely around comunication. Text messages help people to send information all across the country in a short amount of time. Text messages also allow people to talk without other people knowing about it. People can hold private conversations through text messages, and they can do it quietly. While texting, people can also be doing something else. You can text and do other things such as homework or even cook all at the same time. Text messages are a great way to contact friends, send information, and can even be used for work. This is why I think the text message is the best invention during my time.

Many men have worked in this field for thousands of years, but what about women? Women have dealt with the hassle of not having the right to work with aircrafts for many years. Today women have come from being a home oriented person to being equal to men. In the early 1800s, women were not allowed to fly airplanes. Not only were they not allowed to fly, but they also could not become mechanics or engineers for aviation. After one woman Blanche Scott decided to fly a plane, the field of aviation changed forever.Blanche Scott became the first woman to ever fly an airplane. Not long after her, Amelia Earhart became the first woman to cross the Atlantic Ocean. These two women opened the doors for women in the field of aviation. Today women work with aviation just like men. Women perform the same task that the men do in many ways. Women are allowed to be pilots, flight attendants, mechanics, and engineers. Without the toughness and determination, of women such as Ms. Earhart and Mrs. Scott, women would not be able to work in the jobs that they do today. Aviation is open to women because they were brave enough to do something that no woman had ever done before.
